Chapels

Fulfilling MJCA's vision to pursue excellence in spiritual formation and leadership, each week all students Pre-K through 12th grade have the opportunity to attend chapel. This is a fundamental part of the MJCA student experience. Each chapel service is age-appropriate, Gospel-centered, and Biblically-based. Seasonally, all-school chapels are held to have the student body and faculty have the opportunity to gather together for worship. 

SLU (Student Leadership University)

The SLU opportunity at MJCA provides students greater opportunities for our Upper School student leaders. As part of our Bible classes, freshman and sophomores study biblical-based Christian leadership. Our leadership program has recently been restructured to include new curriculum for juniors and seniors who have exhibited a passion for leadership and service that manifests itself by helping to reshape the culture of our entire campus. MJCA partners with SLU (Student Leadership University), which offers four leadership conferences that provide biblically-based leadership principles and experiences that transform the students into a generation of leaders who will then, prayerfully, reshape the culture of our community, state, country, and world. The junior/senior level Student Leadership University is an additional two years of intense leadership courses, responsibilities, service opportunities and mission work both locally and abroad.

Retreats

Starting in middle school, students have the opportunity to attend off-campus retreats. This is a great time for students to get away for focus on their relationship with God and each other. At each overnight time away, students participate in team-building activities, recreational activities, worship services and Bible studies.
