Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)

Families can apply for the FAFSA beginning October 1. The deadline for enrolling for the FAFSA is January 16.

Go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/ to apply.

Students and parents will need to obtain your student and parent PIN numbers to electronically sign the FAFSA. Go to www.pin.ed.gov

The FAFSA is the only application required for the Tennessee Lottery Hope Scholarship

For more information on the Hope Scholarship and it’s requirements go to www.tn.gov/collegepays. Students must have a 21 composite score on the ACT or a 3.0 final GPA to qualify.

 

Selective Service Registration

When males turn 18, they need to register with Selective Service. Registering keeps you eligible for government jobs, financial aid, and job training. Students can register while completing the FAFSA at their local Post Office or at www.sss.gov/
