About MJCA | our mission

Located fifteen minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Mt. Juliet Christian Academy (MJCA) is a private Christian school that is a ministry of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet. The church and school sit on 54 acres of land less than one mile from Interstate 40. MJCA opened its doors in 1979 with grades 1-3. An additional class was added yearly until 1989 when the first class graduated from MJCA. We desire to partner with families in developing students to think, lead, and live as Christians based upon a biblical worldview. As a college-preparatory school that serves over 670+ students in PK-1 through 12th grade, we extend a variety of opportunities through numerous academic, fine arts, and athletic programs, including a formal leadership academy. Founded in 1979, MJCA is celebrating over 40 years of providing a quality, biblically-based education to greater Mt. Juliet.

Our vision

We are committed to pursuing excellence in Christian education by focusing on the four following areas:

1. Spiritual Formation & Leadership

Through Biblical Teaching and Servant Leadership modeling opportunities, we train our students to become people of influence in their chosen fields, their communities, their homes, and in their families.

2. Academic Excellence

Through a gifted and talented faculty, a rigorous and aligned academic program, we will push our students to discover their full potential as they develop their “mind for Christ.”

3. Competitive Athletics

Through quality coaching personnel, state-of-the-art facilities, a consistent emphasis on program development and an above average work ethic, we will develop the next generation of athletes to wear the Saints uniforms, and wear it with pride!

4. Comprehensive Fine Arts

Through exploring, discovering and developing personal giftings and talents, students will experience a comprehensive visual and performing arts program taught by teachers and directors that allow them to build confidence and discover their unique God-given abilities.
