In response to the explosive growth in population and dramatic change in the residential and commercial landscape, First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet commissioned a Long Range Planning Committee to update the Master Plan for the church as well as MJCA. The committee created a plan relating the changing nature of Western Wilson County to the present needs and future goals of First Baptist and its ministries. The Forward by Faith campaign is one component of that long range plan which specifies expansion for MJCA.
A phased approach has been determined as the most efficient and effective way to meet these goals in an expansion plan that will ultimately see buildings spread across the entire 54 acre campus. In addition to expansion and addition of the existing buildings, the Master Plan includes a new gymnasium, cafeteria and classrooms as well as administrative space for MJCA.
The Athletic Center, with seating for over 1000 and incorporating the design of a classic mid-western fieldhouse, will be a free standing facility. In addition to hosting indoor athletic events, it will also provide restroom and concessions for outdoor events. New classrooms, cafeteria, and administrative space will be built in close proximity to the gymnasium and eventually contain Elementary, Middle School, and High School classrooms.
