We now prayerfully ask you to consider making a gift to the 2009 annual giving campaign.

The Annual Fund allows you to make a tax-deductible gift to Mt. Juliet Christian Academy in support of the plans for continued progress. The goal for the 2009 Annual Fund is to receive 100% participation from our supporters. We prayerfully challenge you to make the necessary sacrifice for the future of MJCA. Please remember tuition covers the cost of operation only. Any additional programs or improvements must be financially secured through private donations and gifts.

In order to meet some of the most imminent needs of MJCA your gift is respectfully being requested for the 2009 Annual Fund for one or more of the following projects:

Unrestricted Annual Giving: This is the most popular form of tax-deductible gifts. An unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund allows MJCA to address the areas both in and out of the classroom where financial support is needed to directly impact the students and faculty.

Technology Fund: This fund has allowed technology to receive the most dramatic upgrades and improvements in the last few years. A school operating in the 21st century cannot allow the technology infrastructure to lag behind. Technology continues to be needed in order to advance the resources used to educate our students in the classrooms.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Funds: MJCA is proud to offer financial assistance to those families unable to meet the entire tuition requirements. In order to meet the increasing number of applicants requiring assistance this is an area where the need for support is also growing rapidly. At the same time we want to continue to be able to offer short-term financial assistance for families facing an usually difficult or unexpected hardship through the following scholarships: Merritte R. Reily, Bobby Jane Nokes, and Myra Gibson's Mission.

Teacher Enrichment Fund: This fund is newly established in an effort to give our most faithful supporters an alternative to the holiday or year end gifts for our exceptional faculty. Your gift would be help to offset the cost of the continuing professional development courses required of all faculty.

Honor and Memorial Gifts: This fund is available for any supporter wishing to make an unrestricted donation to the MJCA Annual Fund in the honor or memory of someone.

Transportation: In order to accommodate the increasing overlap of students needing to be transported to field trips, athletic events, and other school related activities the purchase of a bus is needed. Cost is estimated to be $10,000.

Music Department: Additional instruments are needed to meet the number of students interested in band classes and related programs.

Elementary: The elementary wing needs a copier. The cost to lease a copier is approximately $250 per month for a typical 3 year lease.

Ways to Give:

Your tax-deductible gift or pledge can be made today by completing the enclosed card with cash or check made payable to MJCA/Annual Fund.
Visa/Master Card is available for tax-deductible donations.
Stocks or other securities are accepted as donations.
You can double or triple your gift if your employer offers a matching gift program. Check with your employer about gift matching programs offered.
