Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is a college-preparatory school that provides an atmosphere in which students can mature spiritually, academically, physically and socially through a quality education based on Biblical truth.

CURRICULUM
A minimum of 24 credits is required for graduation. Requirements include:

4 Credits of Bible 
4 Credits of English
4 Credits of Mathematics
3 Credits of Science
3 Credits of History
2 Credits of Foreign Language
1.5 Credits of Computer
1 Credit of Wellness
1 Credit of Fine Arts
.5 Credit of Speech


ADVANCED PLACEMENT
(AP) Courses are offered in U.S. History and Calculus.

DUAL ENROLLMENT
This program is designed to allow Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to take college courses through local universities on the MJCA campus. Classes include: Junior English, Senior English, Pre-Calculus, College Algebra and Speech.

HONORS CLASSES
Honors classes are offered in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, World History, American Government, Freshmen English, Sophomore English, Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.

GRADING
Mt. Juliet Christian Academy uses a numerical grading system with a 4.0 scale.

100-93 (Excellent)
92-85 (Above Average)
84-75 (Average)
74-70 (Below Average)
0-69 (Failure)


TESTING
PSAT is offered at MJCA every October for students in their Sophomore and Junior year. All students in grades K through 11 are tested with the Stanford Achievement Test. College tests such as the ACT and SAT are taken at various locations, up to four times a year for all college bound students. Student scores on the ACT/SAT vary each year but fall in the competitive range.

ATHLETICS
Sanctioned by the Tennessee Secondary Sports Athletic Association (TSSAA), competitive team sports include the following for boys and girls: soccer, basketball, golf, tennis, and cross country. For boys, team sports include football and baseball. Girl's team sports are softball, volleyball and cheerleading.

COLLEGE ATTENDANCE
The percent of students that go on to colleges and universities vary each year and it averages 95% since the schools first graduating class in 1989.
