THE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM (GRADES 9-12)

"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put into practice. And the peace of God will be with you." - Philippians 4:9

MJCA is committed to building Kingdom Leaders in every facet of our school. We offer challenging courses and curriculum while ministering to the whole person mind, body and spirit. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future." It is our prayer that MJCA will be a source to help students find out God's plan for their lives.

The high school program builds on the sound spiritual and academic foundations laid through the elementary and middle school programs of the school system. Instructional emphasis is organized in the areas of Bible, English, foreign language , mathematics and computer science, physical education, science, history, art, drama, band, and chorus.

The instructional program is amplified through practical opportunities for the development of leadership, service, special interests, and academic enrichment through student organizations and sports teams for boys and girls. An award-winning fine arts program including band, choir, drama productions, and visual art enhances the total educational experience at MJCA. A guidance center provides academic and personal counseling for students and their parents; career information; a testing program; and college materials.

The spiritual development of the student is also emphasized at the high school level. Chapel programs, an annual spiritual retreat in the fall, and various opportunities for Christian service are all part of the program at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy.

What is Dual Enrollment?

It is a program that allows eligible high school students to simultaneously enroll in a college course. The credits that students earn must be used toward both a high school graduation and are acceptable toward a college Associate or Baccalaureate degree, or Technical Certificate.

What are some of the benefits of Dual Enrollment?

  • Enriches the course opportunities for outstanding high school students
  • Shortens the time to attain a college degree
  • Provides students with college credit that is transferable to all universities accredited through the Tennessee Board of Regents and many universities with other accrediting agencies.
  • Grades earned through dual enrollment will become part of the students' permanent high school and college transcripts
Who is eligible for the Dual Enrollment program?

Students who have:
  • Submitted adequate SAT/ACT scores
  • Permission from the parent/guardian, high school principal and counselor
  • An understanding that the amount of work necessary to succeed in dual enrollment courses will be greater than in high school courses. Students can earn up to twenty-seven college credits through the Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses offered at MJCA.
